Reclaimed old growth White Oak sleeper log measuring 7.75-8.25X11.25-12.5X171.
This amazing beam was reclaimed from a 200 year old barn and is beautiful, tight grain White Oak. These are logs that were hewn on the top and bottom sides while the two edges were left rounded, showing the live edge. These were used as floor joists in barns, and were hidden by the floor boards, hence the name sleeper logs. Sleepers make for very unique mantel pieces or shelves and can also be re-sawn into whatever you can imagine.
